Hi.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm happy you're here.

Thrifty Thursday: Vintage Trench and Designer Booties

Thrifty Thursday: Vintage Trench and Designer Booties

We are FINALLY getting cooler weather here and I have been impatiently waiting to break out my vintage trench coat and all of my fall booties. The time has come!

Photo taken before I was caught in a torrential downpour trying to get into a building that wasn’t open yet. Water is good for leather, right?

Jacket

Brand: Unknown

Vintage: 60s? 80s? Don’t know, don’t care. I love it. The tag is really yellowed and old looking, but that’s all I can say.

Cost: $10

Time: Just a wash.

Booties

Brand: Tory Burch Raya Sand Leather Ankle Boots

Vintage: Past few years? I can’t find the year these were made.

Cost: $50 (eeek- found these at Goodwill in NYC where everything is pricey); these go for $130-$220 used on eBay and Tradesy and they were in perfect condition.

Time: A lot. I had to pet them, snuggle them, and text all my friends about them. I love them forever.

You might be thinking, WHY WOULD ANYONE DONATE THESE TO GOODWILL? Good question. It might be because after taking 2 steps they rub a welt the size of a grapefruit on the side of your ankle. Just a guess. But nothing can change my love for them, not even blood blisters.

Berly: Whatcha doin?

Me: Trying to hide both electrical outlets with my body. Can you tell?

Toodles, tlo
