Thrifty Thursday: Vintage Sweater Dress
Fall in my life means pumpkin candles, football, and sweater dresses with booties. Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this vintage royal blue number at Goodwill a few weeks ago! The length is perfect for work, and I love that I can tie the matching belt in a bow.
“What’s it made of?” you ask? Probably Satan’s underarm hair. It is approximately 1000% wool and requires a full body suit underneath to be tolerable. In these photos I’m wearing a long-sleeved shirt and the largest Spanx produced. I could live my life more rationally, but that would be way less fun.
The outfit:
Brand: Holt Renfrew
Time: this had to be dry cleaned, BOOOOOOOOOO. Also, Berly pointed out there is a fairly large hole in the back after I’d been wearing it all day, so now I get to fix that.
Price: $8 plus $10 dry cleaning bill (if math isn’t your thing, paying more to dry clean an outfit than you purchased it for is what we call ‘upside down’ in a dress investment, or dressvestment)
Feels like: steel wool that has been lit on fire.
