DIY: Crocheted Digger Gift
The sweetest nephew turned 2 years old and had a construction truck themed party, so I thought a hand-made digger would make the perfect gift. There were a lot of little parts, but it none of them were complicated and the pattern was well-written, easy to follow, and free. Boo-yah.
Total cost: $0 because I had all of this yarn and stuffing on hand. Double boo-yah.
Total time: about 6 episodes of Suits (5 hours, give or take)
The pattern came from ravelry, here.
I tied it to the top of some of our boys' very favorite books that don't make me want to throw myself out of a second-story window to read repeatedly I knew their cousin would also love.
A few of those books are:
the Pout-Pout Fish, by Deborah Diesen
Room on the Broom, by Julia Donaldson
The Smartest Giant in Town, by Julia Donaldson
We love almost everything by Julia Donaldson: the Gruffalo series, Paper Dolls, The Snail and the Whale, Tyranosaurus Drip...
His brother has a birthday coming up, and I'm thinking this little number would make a nice set. Stay tuned!
Toodles! TLO
