Hi.

Thanks for stopping by! I'm happy you're here.

  1. Gold rectangular mirror 2. Light blue antique-style vanity 3. Hex floor tile 4. Shower floor tile

While Noah is busy demo-ing our first floor bathroom, I am busy drooling over tiles and fixtures and vanities. This is the best part of remodeling a house while living in it- although that’s not a very high bar, tbh.

My plan here, and in general, is to go with ‘classic’ design choices for the items that are hard or pricey to replace (tile) and use the easier-to-update items (mirror, light fixtures) to bring some modern touches to the room. This way, hopefully we won’t have to jackhammer the guest bath again in 15 years when this stuff all goes out of style. Using “we” a bit loosely there.

What do you think about my choices? The floor tile is a done deal, and now I’m just trying to convince Noah that laying the shower tile design by hand is worth it.

Noah: We don’t need to spend that much time on a shower off of the DINING ROOM that we will NEVER USE.

Me: LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU.

I’m struggling to find a vintage vanity small enough to fit this space, but once I find one I will decide whether to go with natural wood or light blue paint. I can’t WAIT to see this come together.

As a friendly reminder, here’s what this room looks like now:

It’s delightful!

It’s delightful!

Definitely think carefully about accepting any invitations to our house that you might get in the next 2 months.

Toodles, tlo
